My venue is a roadhouse for intimate musical acts and many times we are left to design the lighting and scenic elements for the performance. Our soft goods are navy blue, so I chose R80 to saturate the drape color and I chose R02 and R18 as front light and down light to add contrast for the background and to "warm up" the wood textures of the scenic elements. As an added layering effect, I projected Rosco ColorWaves Ripple-Red on the scene.

The play is "Ajax in Iraq". In this scene a soldier replays a nightmare of killing a flock of sheep. I choose R90 to give the audience the same experience as the soldier looking through his night vision goggles. Clean and simple, it was a very effective moment.
