My final work at university was a production of Caryl Churchill's A Mouthful of Birds.

The climax of the first half of the play is a scene called 'Extreme Happiness' where the characters are overcome with ecstasy and (in our production) the whole building vibrates with the feeling, heading towards collapse. I used R02, R38, R40 and R377 to convey a sense of excitement and excess, of a loss of control and a departure from reality.

Oklahoma City University's production of A Streetcar Named Desire (2010) Lighting Design by JeremyAllenFisher Assistant Lighting Designer Taylor Starr Knight This show was build around the color R3420 I choose this color for its deep saturation and light transmission. It represented evening sunlight. It was used as side light and front angled blasts. Its main counter part was R26&R64. I combined these two colors to create a bold pinkish red that I could not find in any gel book. It was used as side light and front angled blasts.

The production team chose to create a dream-space-meets-reality vibe for the play by working with a base pallette of cool colors. From there, the introduction of contrast would more clearly define new, and possibly real, spaces that could easily disappear.
